“I’ll have to call you back later, I’m talking with Cindy.”
A few weeks ago, our new Heartbridge Manager, Cindy, made her first visit to Heartbridge to check on all the children. Little Wei caught Cindy’s attention as a particularly jolly little guy. “He is so happy, he laughed so hard he almost fell out of his seat!”
Wei has plenty to be happy about, due to the loving care that he receives from his Heartbridge nannies. Wei has been smiling and pounding down our formula since August, when he was admitted to recover from surgery for a bowel and bladder defect. Can you believe this is the same child as the one below? He has made amazing progress and gained nearly 12 pounds! When he is a little stronger, we will arrange a second surgery. Once he has recovered, Wei will be placed into LWB Foster Care, and we have no doubt that he will quickly find an adoptive family. After all, who could resist that smile?
