An Adoption Assistance Grant for Sawyer
Sawyer is an adorable seven-year-old in our Huainan Foster Care program who is waiting for his opportunity for a permanent family of his own.
For the past five years, Sawyer has lived with the same foster family. Here is a photo of Sawyer and his foster mom from his early days with our program.
Although he looked quite shy then, Sawyer is curious and friendly. When one of our volunteers met him, the other children shyly hung back while Sawyer ran right up and waved hello. He wanted to see what his pictures looked like on the digital camera and was curious to know which treats were in her bag for the children.
Sawyer is an easygoing and energetic little boy who loves to run around on the playground. This year, he changed schools and quickly made new friends. He loves to play with them and is liked by all of his fellow classmates.
Teachers tell us that Sawyer likes to be helpful and often cleans up and gets the room in order. He also helps distribute snacks to his classmates. In school, he is learning how to use scissors and copy shapes and characters.
Sawyer has a seizure disorder for which he has had surgery. His foster mother carefully watches him and ensures that he stays strong and healthy. She even comes to his school to bring him chicken soup for lunch!
While he has the love of a foster family, Sawyer would benefit from a forever family who could provide him the ongoing medical attention he needs. Sawyer is available for adoption and is waiting for his family to find him. We know his family is out there. Might it be yours?
Sawyer has a $3,000 Adoption Assistance Grant available!
