Five month old Chandler has made great progress recently at LWB’s Anhui Healing Home. Meal time is one of her favorite parts of the day. Hopefully, she likes alphabet soup, as her complex heart defect includes several acronyms! She was born with a complex heart defects including pulmonary atresia, ventricular septal defect (VSD), and patent ductus arteriosus (PDA).
Chandler is not allowing her heart condition to slow her down. She thinks she is hot stuff now that she can flip over and position herself to the crawling position! Although she is not moving yet, we are sure she will be crawling soon. Unfortunately, her serious heart defect causes her skin to turn a bluish tone when she exerts too much physical effort, so her loving nannies watch her closely.
The surgical plan prepared by the hospital wants to do her surgery at six months of age, so September would be the right time for her surgery. Will you please consider helping this cutie pie have a chance at hope and healing? No amount is too small, and every dollar is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
