Most of us are probably similar to Christina in that we don’t carry a perfect pitch, but we enjoy music and singing.
One of Christina’s favorite things is music. Music is a very powerful instrument that helps lull us to sleep when we are young, entertains us until we are old, and stimulates our intellectual and emotional development. It is such a joy that the children in our Believe in Me School in Anhui are able to participate in music classes. Christina enjoys these music classes and recently joined the chorus at her school. She has a loud voice and truly seems to enjoy singing in the chorus with the other students.
Christina, who is twelve years old, finally has her paperwork prepared for adoption, and we hope she will be matched soon! She is an outgoing girl who has a talkative nature. It is apparent that she is proud of being in the chorus and the performances of which she is a part. Christina excitedly shares photos and stories of her performances with others. Her teachers report how talking about her performance brings a smile to her face. Christina especially loves singing with her friend Beth and looking at photo albums of past performances.
Witnessing the benefits of music, including nurturance of self-esteem, creativity and curiosity in a child, is inspirational. We are inspired by Christina’s passion for music and hope it continues to inspire her. Seeing this extroverted, musical girl sing her way into a forever family’s heart before she ages out at age 14 would bring a song to our hearts!
Love Without Boundaries proudly advocates for adoption but is not an adoption agency. We invite you to contact email@example.com with questions about a child we have featured and encourage you to contact your local adoption agency for more information about China’s Waiting Child Program.
