Christopher: LWB’s Featured Child of the Week
LWB’s Foster Care Program has recently opened a new location in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, and we would like to introduce you to one of our newest recruits: ten-month-old Christopher.
Described as cheerful and lively by his foster family, he loves to crawl around and is learning how to pull himself up to stand. Soon he will be taking those first tottering steps, cruising around the furniture, and stepping out to a claim the independence of a toddler.
To keep up his energy, Christopher relishes his sleep and loves to be carried outside by his foster parents.
Christopher gets excited and greatly enjoys taking his toys out of a box and putting them back in. He gets equally excited when he finds objects his foster parents hide for him.
Christopher needs four sponsors at $40 per month to help cover his monthly foster care expenses. Each sponsor will receive monthly reports and photos of this cute little boy.
We truly believe that an orphanage is not the place for a child to grow up. Children in foster care receive individual care and attention that cannot be provided in an institution. Their physical needs are met and their emotional health is supported and nurtured through loving interactions with foster parents. In foster care children have the best opportunity to grow and develop in a family setting, where they can be part of the community, attend school, and have reduced attachment difficulties when adopted. Please consider supporting this sweet boy.
