Happy Year of the Horse!
Xin Nián Kuài Lè! Today begins the most important holiday in China — the Lunar New Year. Also known as Chinese New Year or Spring Festival, this fifteen-day festival is a special time when families come together to celebrate the coming year ahead, have parades, honor ancestors, and, of course…eat delicious food! This year, we say goodbye to the year of the snake and welcome the year of the horse.
Children in foster care have been celebrating the Year of the Horse with their foster families. Pamela and Georgia from Xiaoxian foster care are welcoming in the new year in new clothes!
In our foster care program in Henan province, all children received traditional red envelopes and a special treat, all thanks to our generous sponsors. Below, Daniel and his foster mother are enjoying a book that he received for the lunar new year.
Harry is cheerfully sweeping out the old year! He has an exciting year ahead as he was adopted right before the new year and is now with his forever family.
The Starbridge Healing Home babies and the Starbridge manager, Stephanie, also want to wish everyone a happy new year!
We at Love Without Boundaries want to take this opportunity to wish all of our friends and family a healthy, happy, and prosperous Year of the Horse. Your generosity and love make it possible for us to continue making a difference in the lives of these precious children, and with your continued help we know they are facing a wonderful year ahead!
