Jaylinn is one of 49 children whose life was changed by LWB’s Cleft Exchange trip held in Kaifeng last year. This beautiful young girl is one of those babies who drew the medical staff and volunteers to her with her social and interactive personality. The volunteers would rush to her bed each morning upon arrival at the hospital, hoping to get to take care of her that day.
When Jaylinn arrived at the hospital, she was running a fever, but luckily it had subsided when her turn was up for her lip repair on the second day of surgeries. Sweet Jaylinn was soon recuperating nicely with all the extra attention she received from the volunteers on the trip.
When a “poster child” was needed for an article on the surgery exchange trip, Jaylinn was chosen to be photographed with Dr. Ness, who has traveled many times on behalf of LWB and their cleft exchanges.
All of us at LWB, and especially LWB’s Cleft Team, were so happy to learn in an update just received that she was adopted by an American family two days before Christmas. We are so hoping they find LWB and contact us to receive a little piece of her history. Jaylinn, your fan club wishes you a wonderful life with your new family!
