Joy: LWB’s Featured Child of the Week
This beautiful baby came to us during the last week of 2015, during the season of joy — and thus was named baby Joy!
Joy is ten months old and needs surgery as soon as possible to repair two holes in her little heart which are causing her health to fail. Joy also has been diagnosed with Down Syndrome, and it is fairly common for children with Down Syndrome to also have congenital heart issues.
Fortunately, Joy’s heart issues are not too severe, and we hope this one surgery will allow her to finally feel better so she can get on with the wonderful business of being a baby!
Joy’s nanny reports that her appetite is good and she quickly drinks her formula. She is not fussy and has no difficulty going to sleep.
Surgery for Joy will likely happen later this week.
Your donation in any amount will help her heal and remain full of joy!
