Luke is a boy who loves life! He is full of fun and funny faces. Even after years of waiting to be matched with a family, no one has claimed this adorable boy as their son.
Seven-year-old Luke is part of our Kaifeng foster care program in Henan and attends kindergarten, which he enjoys. Luke is quite social, and his foster mother says that he enjoys seeing his friends at school. However, she wishes he would study a little more carefully!
Luke seems to have so much fun going to parks and playing outside with his foster family. His foster mother describes him as gentle and sweet…but with a bit of an occasional stubborn streak! We think it’s great that he is able to express his frustration at times. Luke has Down Syndrome and is improving in his verbal skills which should help ease his frustration a bit. He is able to retell a story if he is in the mood. He helps his foster family around the house and even does dishes!
At home, Luke’s friend is this cute little black dog. He plays with it and speaks to him, just like a person.
We know many people probably feel that Luke could be a difficult child to place. He’s a boy. He’s older than many boys available for adoption, He has Down Syndrome. But we believe in our hearts that the right family is out there, just waiting for a boy like Luke and ready to accept — and love — him for exactly who he is. Please help us share Luke’s story so that he can spend his next birthday in the company of his forever family!
Love Without Boundaries proudly advocates for adoption but is not an adoption agency. We invite you to contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions about a child we have featured and encourage you to contact your adoption agency for more information about China’s Waiting Child Program.
