Don’t you wish children came with instructions?
For months, I have been wondering how to get seven-year-old David to smile. Each month, I check his Fuyang Foster Care report and photos hoping for a glimpse of a smile.
Finally, I have learned the secret! Since David is currently waiting to be chosen for adoption, I thought this information might be good to share so that his future family will have a little insight on how to bring out David’s magnificent smiling face.
Now here are the tricks I’ve learned to make David’s lips break into a magnificent smile:
* play “hand catch hand” with him
* pretend your fingers are like a little spider chasing after him
* tickle him
* give him a balloon
Check out David’s smile in these photo gallery. I can almost hear the giggles!
He may be shy when he first meets someone new, but once he gets comfortable he is sweet and playful and seems to love to be tickled. You can read more about David’s sweet nature in the blog post David’s Sweet Tooth…and Sweet Heart!
I hope you love his smile as much as I do, and I hope to see it much more!
