The Return of Julian

When we received these photos of Julian last month from our foster care program in Hunan, we gave a little cheer: Julian has returned! Some of our longtime supporters may remember Julian, who was featured on our blog in July 2011, waiting for his forever family. Now turning six, Julian is unfortunately still waiting (and looks pretty surprised about that, if the photo below is any indication)!

The good news is that after spending some time in his orphanage, he has returned to foster care and his adoring foster brother.

Julian is now a very independent little guy. He has quite a sweet tooth and enjoys feeding himself candies and fruits (although noodles may still be a bit slippery for him!).

Julian loves to really eat anything, and when his foster mother cooks dinner he runs to the table and jumps around with joy!

Julian is thriving in his foster home and is doing well with the schedule that his foster mother has set up for him. He and his foster brother, with whom he lived previously, are very fond of each other, and they play cards and watch cartoons together.

Julian has made fast friends with the children in the neighborhood. Each day after dinner, he gets to play in the yard with the other children. He is described as a very curious little boy who likes to look and touch new things. His newest fascination is cell phones!

Something new since we last featured Julian is that he has an over $4,100 adoption grant on Reece’s Rainbow (where he is listed as “Jimmy”). Julian is on the shared list, and his special need is Down Syndrome.  It sounds like Julian would be wonderful brother and son, and we are very hopeful that that this will finally be his year to find his forever family!

Love Without Boundaries proudly advocates for adoption but is not an adoption agency. We invite you to contact adoptionassistance@lwbmail.com with questions about a child we have featured and encourage you to contact your local adoption agency for more information about China’s Waiting Child Program.
