Be the Match For Tyler: Love In Action
We adopted our son Tyler in May 2014.
Tyler in LWB foster care, where he was known as “Terrell”.
He was very ill, but we knew he was our son and we were overjoyed to finally have him home. While he was in China he was known as “Terrell” and lived with a foster family in LWB’s Fuyang foster care program where he received the medical care he needed and was blessed to be in a loving family environment.
Since coming home, Tyler has grown in every possible way: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We are so proud of the progress he has made. He is a little boy that lives life to the fullest. He plays hard, laughs hard, and thankfully fights hard!
He’s been fighting for his life since birth, and LWB fought alongside him in China. We picked up the baton they passed and have been fighting with him every day since coming home.
Tyler received a bone marrow transplant in August 2015. We watched as our brave boy fought through each battle.
Unfortunately, his transplant was not successful and he now needs a second transplant. In order for that to be possible, Tyler needs to find another donor as there are currently none that are a good match for him.
Tyler is not ready to give up, and neither are we.
Please consider being someone’s hero and joining the registry to become a donor. Contact “Be The Match” for more information. It is a simple process that save lives — like Tyler’s.
Thank you LWB and all the generous sponsors who are changing lives one child at a time. We are eternally thankful for your love and support for Tyler. Every Child Counts!
