Cary Walkathon Raises Funds for Children in Need

Each year for the past three years, the Brannon and McNutt families of Cary, NC have organized a wonderful 5K to help support Love Without Boundaries. This year’s funds raised were designed to benefit the medically fragile children in our Healing Homes. These scenes from the 2013 Cary Walkathon show what a fun family event it was!

This year’s walk was held on a beautiful spring day at Koko Booth Ampitheater in Cary. About 90 individuals participated, including quite a few families with adopted children. It was a joy to see so many little ones running around, laughing and playing.

The organizers printed out lots of photos of Healing Homes residents and placed their names under each inside a picture box. Folks who were not a part of the event stopped by the table to look at the pictures and read about LWB. The weather was perfect, and a fantastic time was had by all.

The final totals raised are not yet available…but in the past, this dedicated group has raised between $12,000 and $16,000!

All of us at LWB appreciate the efforts of the Cary Walkathon group and are honored to benefit from their efforts. What a difference these families will make to the lives of children in China!
