Cassie: LWB’s Featured Child of the Week

Seven-year-old Cassie is a student in our Believe in Me orphanage school in Shaoguan. Described as a very sweet, active and happy little girl, Cassie frequently has a big smile on her face.

Cassie absolutely adores her teachers and often asks them to sit next to her and to play games with her. She really enjoys the activities and field trips planned by the school staff, including making mooncakes for the fall festival as well as trips to the local zoo and outdoor market.

Cassie also gets along well with her friends and classmates. When a younger classmate lost one of her shoes, Cassie was quick to spot it and to help her friend get the shoe back on.

Although Cassie is reported to have mild cerebral palsy, it doesn’t seem to slow her down. She is able to walk up and down stairs with ease. Her teachers report that when she started in the school, she was afraid to touch grass, but as you can see from this picture, she has clearly overcome her fear!

Cassie is in need of sponsors of $25 per month to help LWB continue to provide her with this nurturing and enriching learning environment. With a monthly sponsorship, you will receive regular updates showing Cassie’s growth and progress.

Thank you for believing in Cassie!
