Coats for Kids in Guizhou

LWB has been asked to do a very special project for a rural, mountainous village in southwest Guizhou Province. ChaYing village, home to a Buyi ethnic minority group, is one of the poorest villages in Guizhou. We have been asked if it would be possible for us to provide a new coat and warm thermal underwear to every child in the village. There are 105 children who currently live in Chaying.

If you would like to purchase a coat for a child in this village, you can make a $10 donation to our Coats for Kids fund. Since winter is rapidly approaching, we are trying to get the items ordered as quickly as possible. One of our directors in China will be traveling to deliver the items to the children, and donors will receive photos from the distribution in the village.

Helping to warm a child will warm your heart as well!

  • I am working feverishly hard to fundraise to provide as many sets of coats and underwear as I can. I am an adoptive mama of two girls from China and am passionate about being the change I want to see in the world. I am currently holding a Stella & Dot fundraiser for this specific Love without Boundaries project and my three year old daughter and I are matching the orders for all proceeds. We feel so blessed to be able to help and keep these precious children warm this year. I hope they can feel our love as well! I am not sure if I can post the link but here it is. I figure since people are Christmas shopping while not shop for a purpose! http://www.stelladot.com/ts/817l5
I hope we can receive some pictures of the children when you give them their new coats! It would just lit up my friends, family and online community that is also committed to helping us make this fundraiser a success!

What is the deadline for this project? I would like to tell our adoption group about it.

Ladies in our community have knit hats, sweaters, etc. Would you like these as well?
Give me a snail-mail address and I will send them to you.
