DNA Registries

For those of us who adopted our children from China more than five years ago, the thought of them ever having the opportunity to meet their birth families or discover siblings out in the world was almost unthinkable. Now, however, with advances in DNA registries, the unthinkable is becoming the possible.   This blog entry at 8greeneyes.com got us thinking about DNA registries for adopted children and some of the many implications…and so we wanted to get you thinking, too.

If you choose to tell us your thoughts, we invite you to also leave a comment as to why you voted the way you did. We are sure it will be a thought-provoking conversation!

We would like to although we don’t know how. I don’t know how many people in China are willing to participate in order to find biological kids but my kids might have siblings somewhere. I believe I owe it to my child to find out as much information for them as I can.
