Ellie: An Adoption Story
It has been a little over a year since Ellie has come home to our family. She is so beautiful and has quite a funny, adorable, kind, personality. Above all, Ellie has such a love for life!
Like her two beloved older sisters (Abby, age 6 — adopted in 2010 and Emma, age 10 years), Ellie also has Down Syndrome. Every morning Ellie greets them with hugs to say “Good morning!”
Ellie is continually learning new things about being part of a family and learning what unconditional loves feels like. She is especially close to one of her older brothers, 16-year-old Jacob.
Every morning she takes the Special Education bus to school with her sisters where she is in kindergarten. She absolutely LOVES school and being in class with her sister, Abby. She also enjoys going to church on Sundays.
I love this quote: “Sometimes I would like to ask God why He allows poverty, suffering and injustice when He could do something about it. But I’m afraid He would ask me the same question”. ~Anonymous
Ellie is thriving, and we love her so very much! She has changed our family and the hearts of our teenage boys. What a blessing she is to us!
Ellie was previously in LWB’s Sanmenxia Foster Care program where she was known as “Mollie”. We are so thankful to the Clark family for sharing Ellie’s adoption story!
