Fall Fun at Our Believe in Me Schools

After this summer’s teacher training, our dedicated Believe in Me teachers returned to their classrooms with lots of great new ideas for their students. We wanted to share some of the fun fall happenings from our Believe in Me school in Jinjiang!

The new attendance picture board our teachers have created is a class favorite. Every morning, each child proudly puts his or her picture in place. They all feel like an important part of the class, and everyone notices when someone is missing.

In the below photo, the teacher is using some hands-on learning to help the children explore textures. Can you see how engaged they are? Such busy hands!

This lesson then expands to teach a vital skill in China: using chopsticks. We love the clever “beginner” chopsticks the teachers have fashioned, and the children seem to be catching on quickly!

To cap off this fun lesson, the children learned one more way to use their beans: everyone got to stuff their own creation! This is one lesson they will not soon forget.

Music makes learning fun! Here all the little “piggies” are learning a new song.

Actions are a great way to reinforce learning. High fives for everyone!

Learning any concept is more fun and reinforced when using large muscles in the lesson. Below, you can see the class is having a circle discussion that involves rolling the ball.

We can’t wait to see what else our teachers come up with at the Believe In Me School in Jinjiang this year!  We are so thankful to everyone who helped make all the fun happen for the children.

None of this would be possible without the help of our generous sponsors.  If you’d like to be a part of one of our Believe in Me schools and help enrich the life of a child living in an orphanage through education, sponsorship opportunities are available for $25 per month.
