Fifteen Domestic Adoptions from Foster Care

Celebrate with us!

Over the last year, fifteen children from our foster care program in China were adopted domestically and will grow up surrounded by families in the country of their birth. Domestic adoption continues to rise in China, and we are thrilled that more and more families are open to adopting children who had been born with medical needs. That is a wonderful and positive change over the last few years.

So without further ado, we wish the following children the most beautiful of futures, while giving thanks to everyone who made their LWB care possible:

Vivienne, Zhang Village

Lilian, Zhang Village

Tony, Zhang Village

Georgia, Xiaoxian

Matilda, Tongren

Karen, Tongren

Henrik, Qiandongnan

Shauntee, Qiandongnan

Beckeanne, Qiandongnan

Bonnie-Jean, Loudi

Daniel, Huainan

Little Joe, Huainan

Landon, Fuyang

Walter, Fuyang

Callie, Fuyang

Nine girls and six boys. One-quarter of all children adopted from our foster care program in 2016 were adopted domestically, the highest number that we have ever seen.  Now that’s wonderful news to celebrate!

I love you guys: what you advocate, how you phrase it, your complete lack of sanctimony. You are changing the world for the better – one child and one mind at a time. Thank you.
