Gearing up for our next cleft mission

It’s hard to believe that in just a little under 6 weeks a team of 8 volunteers will be leaving for Hefei to perform cleft lip repairs on children from around China.  We will be partnering with Anhui Children’s Hospital and their proficient and capable medical staff.   Each young child will be given a new smile and have a greatly improved life following surgery.

I wanted to give you a sneak peek at a few of these cuties!

June is a 13 month old little girl with a bilateral cleft lip and palate.  She is currently in our foster care program and her foster care family has been asking when her surgery will be.  The foster families love partnering with LWB to help heal the mouths of these sweet children.  Her foster family describes June as laughing and curious.  Her lip will be repaired on this trip.  I cannot wait to meet this beautiful child.

Xuan is a little girl who as you can see is adored by her foster family.   I love this photo of her foster brother pouring on the sugar.

She is 8 months old and has a unilateral cleft lip.  I anticipate her lip looking amazing after surgery.

Thank you to all of you who support our annual cleft trips.  Please check our medical sponsorship page to help heal one of these beautiful children – http://www.lovewithoutboundaries.com/SponsorMedicalChild.cfm
