Ian: LWB’s Featured Child of the Week
Sweet Ian was born with an intestinal malformation that requires several surgeries to repair. He was just a few weeks old when he had the first surgery, which typically takes place within 24 hours of being born. Ian recovered nicely and was discharged to LWB’s True Children’s Healing Home, where he was able to thrive with the tender loving care of his nannies. This cutie pie grew and stayed healthy over the next few months. Soon he was ready for the next step on his journey of healing.
This past spring Ian had his second surgery and made a quick recovery. He continued to do well with his daily treatments and was well on his way to healing.
Before long it was time for his third and final surgery, a fairly simple procedure that would have him back in the loving arms of his nanny in no time. Ian had surgery at the end of October, but unfortunately he developed an infection and post-op complication at the surgical site. Plans are underway to transfer him to a larger children’s hospital so he can receive the best treatment available. Our hope is that we will soon see Ian back at our healing home and blessing us with his adorable smile.
Your donation in any amount will be greatly appreciated to help with Ian’s medical expenses. Your support will help Ian hopefully overcome this latest obstacle and put him back on he road to full healing and a brighter future.
