Jacob, Future Chess Master
Adorable 7½ year old Jacob attends public school and joins the students at LWB’s Anhui Believe in Me School during the mid day and evening when he returns to the orphanage. We featured this humble boy in our blog last summer (“Humble Jacob“). Amazingly, despite his incredible personality, Jacob’s file remains on the shared list…waiting for just the right family to find it and fall in love!
Jacob is “all boy” as you can see from these two recent videos. In the first, Jacob is playing a game of “Hawks Catch Chicken” with the little girls at the Believe in Me school. In this game, Jacob happily plays the part of the hawk, and the girls are the chickens. The “top” chicken must protect the many chickens behind her. If the hawk catches all the chickens, he wins the game!
Jacob likes school very much, and, like many boys, his favorite class at school is physical education where he gets to run and run with his friends However, he also gets great pleasure by taking time for a great game of strategy. His great love at the moment is playing chess. He plays chess with other students and was hoping for a chess book at Chinese New Year so he could learn even more about the game.
This video demonstrates his concentration in writing characters and we believe he brings the same concentration to each chess match.
Is Jacob, the future chess master, slated to be in your family? He is waiting for just the right family to make a move!
