Timothy is an adorable seven-year-old little boy from our foster care program in Guizhou who happens to have Down Syndrome. Since Timothy has been waiting for his forever family for quite some time, we thought National Adoption Month was the perfect time to let him shine!
He is described as a kind, gentle, and loving child who is quick to comfort others especially when he senses they are sad.
Timothy is often seen gently cuddling with the foster family’s dog.
He is equally quick to join in on the fun, too, and happily plays with his foster brother Titus (also waiting for a family) and other foster siblings.
Like many little boys, Timothy has a real love of trains and all things with wheels.
He also loves music, dancing, and singing and is reported to be quite the “rock star.” Rock on, Timothy!
He has a blast playing with other children but is also very good with creative play and can easily entertain himself.
He often pretends that he is a doctor, hair stylist, computer expert, and of course a train conductor. What an imagination!
Timothy receives educational instruction through home school and is reported to be doing quite well. He is learning vocabulary in both Chinese and English, and knows many signs (his foster family learns signs together). He recently started wearing glasses and was so excited by everything he could see! We think he looks completely adorable wearing them.
Timothy has been waiting a long time for a family to call his own. We bet he will bring lots of smiles and laughter to everyone.
Thumbs up for Timothy! Won’t you share his story to help him find his family?
