Luke: Ready for Heart Surgery — and a Family, Too!
Luke is seven years old and is waiting for his forever family to find him!
Since 2010, Luke has been a student in our education program in Huainan. Teachers recently noticed that Luke has had trouble catching his breath, and his lips turn blue when it’s cold. We arranged for him to be evaluated at Hefei Cardiac Hospital, and they determined he needed heart surgery right away. The Tet spells he was having could prove to be fatal if left untreated.
Luke is scheduled to have heart surgery tomorrow. We sure would appreciate any and all thoughts and prayers on his behalf! In the meantime, let us tell you a bit more about him.
During yoga class at his school, Luke’s teachers tell us that he can balance his body very well. He loves the slide on the playground and loves being outside. Luke’s teachers say that he cares about the environment and picks up trash outdoors and puts it into the rubbish bins.
Described by his teachers as a devoted student, Luke often reviews the materials he learned with his friends after class is done. He enjoys story time and likes to share stories with others. In addition, he recognizes the number 1-8 and is learning more!
One of Luke’s favorite activities is music, and he loves to dance along with the songs.
Luke’s adoption file has been released to the shared list, and we hope that 2016 is the year he will finally have good health, good fortune…and a family of his own.
