LWB and Sevenly: Carpe Diem for Medically Fragile Babies
Our social media pages and website are filled with photos of beautiful children who generally look happy and healthy. However, it’s sometimes easy to forget that most of these children came into LWB care because they were in medical crisis.
Children like Christi and Little Joe, who were born with their organs on the outside of their bodies…who after months of hospital care are now thriving with the love and attention of our Healing Home nannies.
Children like Patrick who arrived at the orphanage in need of immediate surgery for anal atresia and are now growing stronger and healthier in our healing home care.
Children like Cohen who was born a preemie and was having difficulty feeding and thriving in his orphanage. After an extended hospital stay, he is now thriving at our healing home (as evidenced by those chubby cheeks!)
Carpe Diem. Seize the Day. Children like these who have been so sick and still have so many hurdles to overcome teach us that we should aspire to seize each and every day given to us.
That’s one reason that we love these shirts from Sevenly which remind us to seize and be thankful for each day. This week only, LWB is proud to be the featured charity for Sevenly this week! For every item purchased from their featured collection, Sevenly gives $7 to support our Healing Home program and care for orphaned children with special needs like Christi, Little Joe, Patrick and Cohen.
So carpe diem, grab a shirt, and show your support!
