Maria: 13 Years Old and Waiting for A Family

This week, Maria turns 13 years old.

In China, this means that Maria has just one year left to find a family before she is no longer eligible for adoption.

To help raise awareness of her situation and the limited time she has left for adoption, LWB is offering a $6,000 Adoption Assistance Grant, thanks to a generous donor.

Maria entered our Believe In Me Huainan school in 2012. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy while she was a resident of the orphanage, and we were happy to have her as a student at our school in the orphanage.

We’ve watched Maria grow up over the years and were excited to see that her adoption file was prepared after many years of waiting.

Please share to help us spread the word about Maria’s Adoption Assistance Grant. Maria needs to find her permanent family in 2019!

Love Without Boundaries proudly advocates for adoption but is not an adoption agency. We invite you to contact adoption@lwbmail.com with questions about a child we have featured and encourage you to contact your adoption agency for more information about China’s Waiting Child Program.

I understand that China is increasing the age for adoption from 14 years to 18 years, starting on 1/1/21. I was so glad to hear this and I hope this means that darling Maria will get a second chance at being adopted. I pray for this wonderful girl. 🙂
