New Toys and Togs for Our Newest Foster Care Program

In April, we announced the opening of our newest foster care program in Qiandongnan. The program opened with ten children, and we have added two more children in the past few weeks. The children are adjusting very well to their new lives with their foster families, and it has been wonderful to see their initial progress. We loved these photos so much that we wanted to share them with our readers! We were able to purchase some new clothing for the children and baby walkers for some of the younger children which you can see them enjoying here. Keely, seen in the top photo, is recovering from her recent heart surgery and loves her new walker. Dane (center) was also very pleased with his walker’s accessories. Little Leo (below) seems to be happy where ever he goes!

Our girls of Qiandongnan are looking too adorable for words in their new dresses.   Here they are modeling for us:

We have also started delivering iron fortified cereal to all the children under 24 months in age.  Here is Tilda waving to our Manager and thanking him for her gift.

Thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors, this program is off to a great start. Now we are ready to grow again as we have been asked to take an additional eight children into the program! The search for foster families and sponsors is on and we will soon be introducing you to their sweet faces. We plan on letting the first sponsor for each child choose an English name for the child which is a wonderful way to honor loved ones. So please stay tuned tomorrow to meet the newest darling faces from Qiandongnan!
