S-u-c-c-e-s-s for Daniel!
S-U-C-C-E-S-S…..That’s the way we spell Success! Goooooooo Daniel!
About a year ago, one of our favorite students from Love Without Boundaries’ Believe In Me (BIM) school in Jingzhou, Hubei Province left the program.
We were sad to lose frequent touch with Daniel, age 8, but thrilled that he had shown so much academic potential and progress in his BIM class that his orphanage enrolled him in the local public school.
We volunteers held our collective breath as Daniel headed off to school last September. We wondered if his special need of a missing right ear and status as an orphan would make for constant comment and questions about his ability to learn and socialize normally with his peers.
Last month, Uncle Tim, LWB’s manager of BIM Jingzhou, spotted Daniel at the orphanage. He reports: “He told me that he is getting on well at school. In the final exam he got 94 in Chinese and 87 in maths.”
Wow! Daniel really has achieved success, thanks to the generous sponsor that gave Daniel a chance to prove his intelligence and eagerness to learn for a year in his BIM school. It opened a previously closed door and has made a world of difference in his life. LWB Education volunteers feel like cheerleaders waving pom poms in the air for Daniel. We can’t wait to see what next year brings for him….likely continued success.
