Safe Haven Foster Care: Pandemic Update
Love Without Boundaries’ Safe Haven foster care program works in the field of anti-trafficking. We are so grateful to all of our supporters who make this important program of refuge possible. It’s a real comfort to know that all of the children in this program are being cared for safely at their foster homes during the global pandemic.
While the schools are currently closed, the education of the children in our Safe Haven foster care program is still going strong. Thanks to donors’ generosity, all students in our program went home with activity books, paper, pencils, and anything else we could source. Without internet or libraries, we endeavored to create at-home lesson plans everyone could complete.
Some students, like Ian, are trying to keep things as normal as possible by studying at a table or desk.
Others, like Lee, are taking a more relaxed posture!
All of the children in this program are doing well, and they seem quite happy to have an impromptu “vacation.” Meadow, Hunter, and Aspen are enjoying their time right outside their house.
We’re so glad these foster siblings from our Safe Haven foster care program stay together! Their foster mother always talks about how well they get along and how the older siblings help out the younger ones with homework and chores.
Food is being distributed to families, and everyone has been updated on hygiene.
The kids have more homework than they know what to do with. Times are difficult across the globe, but the children in our Cambodia programs are still learning and progressing through family bonding.
We are so thankful to everyone who supports our Cambodia programs for making it possible for the children to be safe and cared for by people who love them.
