Earlier this month, Simon was playing in his neighborhood and was nearly hit by a car.
He fractured his pelvis but fortunately avoided more serious injury. For an active-five-year-old boy, however, treatment for his pelvis requires him to remain in the hospital for several weeks without moving!
Simon came in to LWB care in 2012 when he required heart surgery.
Despite the fact that it is currently Chinese New Year in China, Simon’s foster mom has been able to be with him in the hospital.
Our manager brought him some toys and a new hat which seemed to bring a smile back to his face!
We know how disappointed Simon must be to miss all of the Chinese New Year excitement in his neighborhood. He was just beginning to be more outgoing. His teachers tell us that he is becoming more curious at school as well. We hope that Simon will be released in about a week so that he can recuperate at home and soon return to school!
We’ve heard that Simon’s adoption file has been prepared and that an agency in the United States will be receiving it soon. We look forward to hearing that this adorable boy will soon have his opportunity to grow up with a forever family!
Donations in any amount to help fund Simon’s hospital stay would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for joining us in caring for Simon!
Love Without Boundaries proudly advocates for adoption but is not an adoption agency. We invite you to contact firstname.lastname@example.org with questions about a child we have featured and encourage you to contact your adoption agency for more information about China’s Waiting Child Program.
