Simone: LWB’s Featured Child of the Week
Tiny Simone was recently found abandoned with a very swollen abdomen.
She was rushed to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with intestinal atresia, a condition that occurs when part of the intestine doesn’t form completely. This condition prevents food and stool from moving all of the way through the body and is life-threatening if not treated immediately.
Simone underwent emergency surgery on September 25th. She is making a strong recovery. She is hungry but is only allowed a small amount of formula at this point. She gets so angry when her bottle is empty; Simone is clearly a fighter.
Will you please consider donating toward Simone’s life-saving surgery? Your donation in any amount will be appreciated. With your help, precious Simone is being given a chance at hope and healing and a bright future.
