Summer Stories from Zhaotong
Please let me share a few summer stories with you about our children in Zhaotong .
You may remember George from Zhaotong who was once a very urgent medical child. He had a brain tumor that required surgery. As you can see from the above photograph, George is recovering well. He can move his right side and spends most of his time lying on the sofa following people with his eyes as they move around. I call him ‘Curious George’ because he is always so curious about what other people are doing.
“Big Sister is Home at Last!”
Big sister Suzy recently returned home from the blind school in town and loves to cuddle her little sister Kellie. She loves her little sisters and misses helping to care for them when she is at school.
< We have just heard that Suzy's paperwork is now with the CCAA - hopefully she will have a forever family soon! Jennifer Drake is the Zhaotong Foster Care Coordinator. She lives with her husband of 8 years in England and has been a Love Without Boundaries volunteer for 2 years. She and her husband are currently in the process of adopting their first child. In 2007 they volunteered at Hope Healing Home in Beijing and this experience encouraged them to adopt from China.
