Sweet Sue Waits for a Family
Sweet Sue entered our foster care program in January 2016 at age two. What a little peanut she was!
The first month she was in foster care, Sue and her foster sister received new tricycles and scooters from their sponsors. Sue was so small her feet barely touched the ground.
A year later, Sue was working on walking on her own and had gained strength and weight, thanks to her dedicated foster parents and her older foster sister, Piper. Sue looked up to Piper, who also was diagnosed with Down Syndrome, and wanted to do whatever Piper was doing.
Their foster mother believes Piper motivated Sue to walk!
In September, we received this picture of Sue riding her tricycle. We are amazed at how much Sue has grown and are so proud of her progress. Now, her feet not only touch the ground, but she is strong enough to help push the pedals.
Since joining her foster family, Sue has made so much progress.
We would love nothing more than for this sweet girl to have a permanent family who can be her advocate, celebrate her successes, and cheer her on when she needs encouragement.
