Intake Day

Today was Intake Day for our 2017 Cleft Medical Exchange. When our team arrived early in the morning, many families were already lined up hoping to be seen. Unlike our past medical exchange trips to China where we pre-identified the children having surgery, this year ads were sent to villages, schools, and orphanages by Smile Cambodia. Today was the “open call” for anyone to come and be seen by our international team.

Lovely Lora

Lora is an outgoing, fun-loving toddler who joined LWB’s Qiandongnan Foster Care Program in Guizhou province early this year. Just six months later, Lora decided that cruising the furniture is not enough for her; stepping out and walking where she wants is more her style.


And style she has! Recent photos show she knows how to rock a pair of sunglasses and pigtails too. Read more.

Day One of Hefei Mission

Most of our team has arrived safely in Hefei ready to go to work on our Hemangioma medical trip. Dr. Buckmiller missed her connection due to the first leg of her flight being delayed but our good friend Michael Han (Always and Forever Tours) has worked hard to make her delay as minimal as possible.
