Waiting Girls of 2016

Both November and National Adoption Month are now over and the crazy month of December has arrived. But the end of 2016 makes us even more determined to feature some beautiful waiting girls in our programs in the hope that their forever families see their photos and fall head over heels in love!

Martin: A Kind and Helpful Friend

Martin and William

Four-year-old Martin is a student in our Believe in Me orphanage school in Qingyang. Martin’s teachers often tell us that that he is always helping other children in the classroom. Whether it is assisting his friend Jacqueline with her mobility by pushing her walker, helping other students put on their shoes, or serving snacks to his friend William, Martin is often observed being kind to others. Jacqueline: Blossoming at Our Qingyang Believe in Me School

One of the best things about our Believe In Me orphanage schools is seeing students who may not otherwise have a chance of attending school begin to blossom and grow in the classroom setting. Eleven-year-old Jacqueline from the Qingyang orphanage is one such student. She has cerebral palsy and limb differences and uses an assistive device to walk, so attending a public school would not be possible for her in China.

Four Special Students From Believe in Me Qingyang

This spring, students at our Believe In Me orphanage school in Qingyang have been busy with lots of fun enrichment activities. They have been celebrating Chinese New Year, reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, learning about numbers and shapes, and eating lots of healthy snacks – all while having fun with their teachers and friends!

Tyler and Friends: Love In Action

Tyler is a vibrant and smart six-year-old boy whose smile lights up the room. He has been a student at our Believe In Me School in Qingyang since it opened eleven months ago. Prior to the school opening, Tyler did not have the opportunity to regularly attend school with his peers due to his disability.
