Let the Healing Begin!

All the members of our medical team have arrived safely in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia. Phnom Penh is the country’s largest and most densely populated city, with over 1.5 million people calling it home. Children will be coming here from all over Cambodia to have surgery this week. Our team photographer, Sherri Cox, snapped some pictures around town to give everyone a feel for where all the excitement will be happening.

A Teachable Moment

I am sure we have all had those frustrating moments in life when you stop and ask yourself if you are doing enough to teach your children. Mine came Tuesday afternoon when I volunteered for the first time in my daughter’s kindergarten class. I was shocked at the way the children treated their teacher.  I started thinking: Am I doing enough to teach my kids how to respect the institution of school and teachers who work hard for so little in return?
