Waiting Child Wednesday: Brian Christopher
In 2012, a shy and serious little boy named Brian Christopher entered our Believe In Me Huainan education program. He did not have the confidence to speak to the teachers and was quite tentative about getting involved in the activities at the preschool.
Fast forward to a year later, and Brian Christopher’s smiles came more readily! More relaxed, he proved to be a good listener and worked hard to understand directions.
During his years in our Huainan Education program, Brian Christopher was able to learn not only school skills but also had experiences like making dumplings for Chinese New Year.
During his life in the orphanage, Brian Christopher has seen many of his friends find families through adoption. It must have been confusing for him to see them go and wonder if he, too, would ever have the chance to have a family of his own. However, Brian Christopher maintained a positive attitude and is often seen with a smile.
Brian Christopher, now nine years old, continues to thrive. Although teachers say that he could use more practice reading Chinese characters, he is proficient at math and is always eager to try his best. He is a boy who listens carefully, does his work on time, and enjoys positive attention from his teachers!
Playing games outdoors with friends — especially playing soccer — seems to be Brian Christopher’s favorite activity.
After years of waiting for his adoption file to be prepared, we are absolutely thrilled that at last Brian Christopher has his chance to know the love of a family. Please feel free to contact our Adoption Advocacy Team at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to learn more about this wonderful boy.
Love Without Boundaries proudly advocates for adoption but is not an adoption agency. We invite you to contact email@example.com with questions about a child we have featured and encourage you to contact your adoption agency for more information about China’s Waiting Child Program.
