World Down Syndrome Day 2018

Did you ever wonder why March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day?  March 21, or 3/21, signifies the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome. Around the world, people are proudly wearing crazy socks and celebrating the joy that people with Down Syndrome bring to the world.

Today we would like to shine the spotlight on ten children with Down Syndrome in our programs who are waiting to be chosen for adoption.  Here they are from oldest to youngest:

Niamh, age 12 (Dingyuan Foster Care)
$15,000 Older Child Adoption Grant available from Reece’s Rainbow

Timothy, age 8 (Qiandongnan Foster Care)

Mateo, age 7 (Tongren Foster Care)
$2,500 Adoption Assistance Grant Available from LWB

Dominic, age 4 (Xinzhou Foster Care)

Lewis, age 4 (Qiandongnan Foster Care)

We hope you’ll share our dream that each and every one of these precious children can find a permanent family to love them, to be their advocate, and to hold their hand as they grow up. Please share this blog to help us spread the news that they are waiting!

Love Without Boundaries proudly advocates for adoption but is not an adoption agency. We invite you to contact adoption@lwbmail.com with questions about a child we have featured and encourage you to contact your adoption agency for more information about China’s Waiting Child Program.
